I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

An Ordinance to amend The Chinese Hospital Incor-

-poration Ordinance, No.3 of 1870,

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructions.

In view of the approaching opening of two new Rospitals

it is considered necessary to take power to increase the maxi-

-mum number of members of the Permanent Foard of Directors and

so strengthen the permanent working Committee.
